Cavalia’s Odysseo is a voyage with horse, man, and woman to the world’s most beautiful locations including the African savanna and dessert, the Northern Lights, the American Southwest, rolling hills and lush forests. |
Odysseo’s 67 horses of 10 different breeds including the Appaloosa, Arabian, Canadian, Lusitano, Oldenburg, Paint Horse, Quarter Horse, Spanish Purebred and Warmblood. There are 45 artists – riders, acrobats, aerialists, dancers and musicians. It’s all about the beauty of motion, equestrian style. Seeing those horses romp reminds us that we’re used to coltish creatures of a different ilk.
|
Super special are Odysseo’s natural scenes in which wild horses winnie, cluster and neigh, circulating the stage in organically arising formations. Gallumphing bareback-riding that incorporates gymnastics is groovy as well. Beware the show’s thirty-minute intermission and steep beer price. On the other hand — you don’t get to drink beer at the ballet, do you? |
