Cavalia’s Odysseo is a voyage with horse, man, and woman to the world’s most beautiful locations including the African savanna and dessert, the Northern Lights, the American Southwest, rolling hills and lush forests.

serenadeOdysseo’s 67 horses of 10 different breeds including the Appaloosa, Arabian, Canadian, Lusitano, Oldenburg, Paint Horse, Quarter Horse, Spanish Purebred and Warmblood. There are 45 artists – riders, acrobats, aerialists, dancers and musicians.

It’s all about the beauty of motion, equestrian style. Seeing those horses romp reminds us that we’re used to coltish creatures of a different ilk.

Super special are Odysseo’s natural scenes in which wild horses winnie, cluster and neigh, circulating the stage in organically arising formations. Gallumphing bareback-riding that incorporates gymnastics is groovy as well. Beware the show’s thirty-minute intermission and steep beer price. On the other hand — you don’t get to drink beer at the ballet, do you?
