Art director Gene Allen among guild members in “Landscapes” exhibition

In a wonderful example of a great truth of Los Angeles — that many fine artists have always made a commercial living by working in the film industry, the Art Directors Guild announces its second art exhibition of 2015, “Landscapes.”

A featured artwork, among 60 by a host of nearly 30 artists, comes from esteemed Oscar®-winning art director, Gene Allen (My Fair Lady, Let’s Make Love, A Star is Born). An opening reception on Saturday, February 28 will include live jazz, refreshments. The show hangs for one month.

The Art Directors Guild, established in 1937, represents 2,300 members who work throughout the United States, Canada and the rest of the world in film, television and theater as Production Designers; Art Directors; Assistant Art Directors; Scenic, Title and Graphic Artists; Illustrators and Matte Artists; Set Designers and Model Makers.
