We’re seeing it next week. But no harm to view the trailer.
“One to One: John & Yoko” concerns an eighteen-month window in 1971 in which the controversial couple, newly arrived in the United States, lived in a tiny apartment in the Village where, among other things, they watched gobs of American television. Living through the tumultuous years of social and political turmoil changes their approach to protest — ultimately leading to the One to One concert, which was inspired by a Geraldo Rivera exposé they watched on TV. Their sole offspring together, Sean Ono Lennon, oversaw the refurbishment and remix of footage from the August 30, 1972 concert at Madison Square Garden.
We liked film critic Sheri Linden’s review of Oscar®-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald’s riveting documentary in The Hollywood Reporter. Click here to read it.
