Marion Davies (1897 – 1961) — silent film actress, party hostess and the original occupant of the (now called) Annenberg Beach House — is having a party. Festivities include music, dancing, some magic, and a cake walk. Guests are welcome to come in their favorite Gold Coast-era attire or in costume as if attending one of Davies’ famed costume parties. The annual event happens this year on Jan 26, 2020.

2 pm – screening of Peg o’ My Heart
Film historian Elaina Friedrichsen introduces the 1933 MGM film produced by and starring Ms.Davies. “Happy Birthday Marion!” is a free, all ages event. Reservations are recc’oed.
