Achtung, baby! Righteous programming, this Christmas night, from Turner Classic Movies: choreographer/director Alan Johnson’s TO BE OR NOT TO BE (1984), a remake of the Lubitsch political satire, well selected on this day of off-the-grid distribution of North Korea spoof, “The Interview.”
Johnson and the great Mel Brooks collaborated on this promotional video for the movie. Genius!
Addition Jan 22, 2015: Choreographer Vincent Paterson, who dances in the video (the tallest male dancer) kindly identified his fellow dancers: Peter Tramm (stand-in for Kevin Bacon in “Footloose”), Bill Burns, and luscious Third Reich-ettes, Jamilah, Diane Day and Sara Miles. Thank you, Vincent!
And another thing, Vince: It’s good to be tall. xo
Amazing, Vince! Achtung back at you! Cheers, Debra L.
Ha, Ha!!!! Were you aware that I am the tallest of the Nazi soldier/dancers in the video you posted of Alan Johnson’s choreography for Achtung, Baby!!!!!
I haven’t seen that in a billion years.
Thanks for the reminder.
Vincent
