Bring dancing boots. Beer mugs provided — with beer inside. Top young-gen country music stars to perform. That is the gist of the invitation to attend the touring country-music show Boots & Brews Country Music Festival as it nestles at the Madonna Inn, a cloister of high-kitsch in California’s Central Coast town of San Luis Obispo.
For a second year, the fest rolls out at the rococo roadside palace, the Madonna Inn, a Cali resort-hotel on steroids, a unique blend of Swiss chalet and Pretty in Pink, since, per traveler’s advisories, you simply “must love pink” as there is a “lot of pink.” But there seems to be the Fred Flintstone ‘excavated rock quarry’ suite on offer as well.
Mostly, I’m attracted to the high quality roster of country music artists, headed by superstar Justin Moore, with cool opening acts: the duo High Valley and up-and-coming country darlings Riley Green and Adam Doleac. It looks fabulous.
