I cannot say more, or in a truer fashion, about the jaunty 98-year-old than did the man who took these photos of Dick Van Dyke, and then wrote about him in Los Angeles Magazine. Chris Nichols, a friend of artsmeme (F.O.A.M.) took these candid shots in conjunction with Moments in Time, an exhibit photographic portraiture now hanging in Malibu City Hall. They are testimony to a life of joie de vivre — peppered with a lot of soft-shoe dancing.
In his story, Chris also advances a CBS television special, Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic, on CBS and Paramount+ tomorrow night, Dec. 21. Some of you may want to watch that. Take it away, Chris.
