Hey, arts·meme people ~ we made it to ten! 7

Ideas & Opinion

It’s our tenth birthday. On May 24, 2008 we were hanging around with nothing to do. We’d finished our homework, played with our Barbies, chewed some gum, kicked the can down the road. We were bored stiff! So we starting scribbling on a Word Press blog-template custom-created by Mark Levine. Topics: all kinds of arts stuff. For ten years, nearly day by day, we picked the good stuff with long legs that reach across the universe.

The focus was on dance (909 posts) and film (770 posts). But soon we had published a ton of material on music, theater, visual arts — and even fashion and design. Millions of blogposts, okay, just a couple thousand — 1,987.

It had to be artsmemey. That means fun … fascinating … makes you laff … makes you think … makes you remember … teaches you something … tickles your fancy… or best of all makes you buy a ticket and attend a live performance, dance concert or movie.
