Dear David Hallberg’s ankle …

Dance

BREAKING NEWS * BREAKING NEWS * BREAKING NEWS *
This just in from Renae Williams Niles, Director, Dance Presentations, Los Angeles Music Center: It was just confirmed that he [Hallberg] will not be dancing this week.

Dear David Hallberg’s ankle,

Please, dear Mr. Ankle, be a very nice and kind ankle, and be healed so we may see David Hallberg dance tomorrow night with American Ballet Theatre.

We heard that David Hallberg sprained you by swooshing his Von Rothbart cape in Swan Lake a bit too much. Could you please give us a huge break and heal thyself before we plop into our seats at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion tomorrow night?

You see, we really want to see David Hallberg dance!

Thank you for your cooperation, appreciate it!

Yours sincerely,

Here’s Hallberg’s Tweet on his injury:

Sprain happened in the middle of fast part in variation. Thought to myself ‘well. I guess I’m still dancing’ (and 4,000 people were watching)
