Sydney Skybetter: from living room to living art

In a living room audition for “A Chorus Line,” the young dancer, Sydney Skybetter, brings enviable energy to his task.

It’s not surprising that the twig grew to a tree, choreographing this lovely solo to Schubert lieder for dancer Bergen Wheeler.

In the video, Bergen performs on perhaps the most beautiful stage in the world, the great “Inside/Out” dance platform of Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts. The historic platform is now being rebuilt following a successful $150,000 capital campaign.
