arts·meme enters the terrible twos

EmailLinkedInPinterestShare

waaah“You should be blogging,” my brother Mark first said to me sometime around 2005.

I succumbed on May 24, 2008 when arts·meme went live – with Mark’s excellent tech support.

Then he started saying, “You should be tweeting.”

Okay, enough is enough!

Inspired by a Los Angeles Philharmonic concert under the baton of Esa-Pekka Salonen, I mustered my first blog entry.

Symbolic in a way. Although a dance writer, I was keen to scribble about my other arts passions — classical music, film, jazz, museums — and to connect the dots. So welcome to blogging!

Happy birthday, arts•meme.

And … give us a smile, honey!

Love & best wishes on your 2nd, artsmeme!

  • You had already been blogging for years via email to your friends and family.  arts•meme gave you the opportunity to share your thoughts (complete with opt-in/opt-out) with a larger audience!  Congratulations on what you've made of the blog.
